A slightly healthy take on the majestic samosas that make our tea times happier!
Samosas are known for their crisp exterior with scrumptious filling that is both meat or vegetables. As a school goer my favourite snack to buy from the canteen used to be onion samosas. Here’s my take on them but made better with wheat instead of the usual maida.

Samosas are known for their crisp exterior with scrumptious filling that is both meat or vegetables. As a school goer my favourite snack to buy from the canteen used to be onion samosas. Here’s my take on them but made better with wheat instead of the usual maida.
Steps
- 1
Make the dough with the above mentioned ingredients under ingredients for dough. After kneading well, apply one tsp oil over the dough. Cover with warm cloth and keep aside for 15 mins.
- 2
In a pan with oil, add the onions and other ingredients needed for making the filling. Fry until onions turn brown.
- 3
Make small cones with the dough. Fill them with the onion filling 3/4th of the way. Seal the edges with some water or maida paste.
- 4
Fry off the samosas in hot oil for 5 mins. Remove from pan and drain excess oil on tissues. Serve hot with ketchup.
