Ingredients

  • 25Fresh lemon
  • 150 gmSalt
  • 900 gmSugar
  • 35 gmred chilli powder (according to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

    Take fresh and thin skinned lemon.
    Rinse all the lemon with water. Wipe it with clean cotton napkin.There should not be any moisture on the lemon.

    Keep 8 to 10 lemons aside.

  3. 3

    Cut the remaining lemon into small pieces. Remove as many seeds as possible.

  4. 4

    Squeeze the remaining 8 to 10 lemons and keep the juice into a bowl.

  5. 5

    Add the cut lemon into a bowl.Then add salt in it and mix it well with spoon.

  6. 6

    Keep it in a clean glass bottle or jar.leave it for minimum 8 to 10 days.

  7. 7

    Every day, just mix it well with a spoon or shake it well and keep it close.

  8. 8

    After a 10 days when the lemon peel become soft add sugar and red chilli powder and mix it well.

  9. 9

    Cover the bottle or jar and leave it again for 2 weeks till the sugar melt completely.

  10. 10

    Every day, just mix it well with spoon and keep it close.

  11. 11

    After 25 or 30 days pickle will be ready.
