This recipe came from my husband’s grandmother. This is his favorite pie and Grandma made sure I had the recipe for the future.
And yes, my pies always taste better than they look.

Steps

Boil raisins in 2 cups of water.

Add cornstarch to 1 cup of water and stir together. Add to raisin/water mix.

Stir in sugar, vinegar, and 5 spice.

Cook till bubbling.

Pour filling into crust and add the top of the pie. Slash crust for ventilation.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
