Garlic Onion Steak
Here’s another quick and easy recipe that’s always a hit. Even though it’s a common dish, I wanted to share my own version!
Steps
- 1
Mix garlic powder (I only had it in cubes) and black pepper. You can also buy them pre-mixed for extra flavor.
- 2
Rinse the steaks and sprinkle both sides with the garlic and pepper mixture. Since my garlic powder already had salt, I didn’t add extra salt.
- 3
Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil. Add the steak and cover for about 3 minutes.
- 4
Flip the steak and add onion on top, sliced however you like—julienned, half-moons, rings, or even diced.
- 5
Cover and cook for another 3 minutes.
- 6
After the time is up, check if the meat is browned. If it’s ready, remove it for a moment. If the onions need more cooking, sauté them a bit longer until done.
- 7
Repeat with the remaining steaks. I only made two, so I cooked them one at a time, but if your skillet is bigger, you can cook two or three at once.
