Let steaks stand 30 min at room temperature.

Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over both sides of the steaks.

Cook steaks on each side on high to sear and seal in juices.

Reduce heat to medium and in the last two minutes of cooking add butter, thyme, and garlic.
- 5
Bast steaks with the juices from the pan while they cook.
- 6
When the steaks are done remove from the pan to plate and pour pan juices onto the steaks and serve.
