Spicy Cream Sauce
An alfredo-like sauce with minimal ingredients packed with a good punch of spice! Perfect for those looking for a quick, flavorful meal and an easy one to reheat on those busy evenings.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Boil water for pasta with pinch of salt, add pasta when boiling. At the same time, prepare meat of your choice. (I just threw frozen Linguiça in a pan until hot)
- 2
While cooking other two ingredients, chop onions, garlic and jalapeños. Add these three to a non-stick pan with the oil and a pinch of salt, and sweat on low heat. Keep moving for 8-10 minutes, until vegetables are at desired softness.
- 3
Add milk, cream cheese (used flavored cream cheese for an extra kick, EX: jalapeño cream cheese), a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper to the pan with the vegetables. Stir often until cream cheese melts and sauce thickens. Add more milk or cream cheese if sauce is too thick or is not thick enough.
- 4
When hot, serve over pasta with the cooked meat. (Sauce becomes even more flavorful when served the next day after the flavors have marinated, so leftovers are encouraged!)

Beef with Cream Sauce Beef with Cream Sauce
I ate a Swiss dish for the first time at my friend's house in Switzerland. The friend gave me a Swiss recipe book, so I tried to cook the same dish I had eaten. This dish is called 'Zürcher Geschnetzeltes' in Switzerland. The original is veal with cream sauce. Serving it with Rösti, Swiss hash brown potatoes, is the most standard way. Season the beef and sauce well, and the dish will be more delicious. This dish is good for pasta sauce too. Soy Sauce Flavored Chicken in Cream Sauce Soy Sauce Flavored Chicken in Cream Sauce
Generally speaking, a cream sauce flavor doesn't go well with rice. But I still want to eat it with rice… So I came up with this recipe that would go well with rice.It has a strong flavor, so would go well with rice and/or sake (beer or wine). Please try it as a pasta sauce too!If you use a heavy cream that has more than 35% fat content (I strongly recommend 42% in particular!), the sauce will become tastier with added creaminess and richness. Please use any kind of mushroom you like. The heavy cream will start to separate when heated excessively, so make sure to add it right before serving. Broccoli in Cream Sauce Broccoli in Cream Sauce
I have GOT to up my veggie game. I’m getting lazy. You can only eat so much corn, green beans, and peas in rotation. The hubs suggested a few things. I bought some frozen broccoli. There has to be more to broccoli than just steaming. This was prepared, baked, and bubbling in 30 minutes. It’ll be a repeat offender. Only bigger. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles
