Ingredients

  • 300 gSatumaimo
  • 100 gSugar
  • 1 Table SpoonWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash Satumaimo well, and cut into big bite sizes, then soak in water for 5 minutes to release excess starch.

  2. 2

    Dry Satumaimo on Kitchen towel.

  3. 3

    Heat oil for deep fry to 180℃ (350℉), then fry Satumaimo until it's golden brown.

    Put sugar and water to a pan, and heat over medium low hea until it melts.

  5. 5

    Turn the heat to low, and cook until it's slightly brown, then turn off the heat ※The sugar gets REALLY HOT! So, please be careful.

  6. 6

    Add fried Satumaimo to 5, and coat each with melted sugar, then place each on parchment paper separately until the coating is cooled. And served!
