Put a pan over a heat and add one tbls oil and add the prawns and fry for about 10 min. Keep fried prawns aside.

In a pan add three tbls oil and heat it. Add cinnamon stick and cardamom, add onion and cook until they turn light brown, add ginger and garlic paste,red chilli, turmeric and coriander powder, add tomatoes and salt cook the masala until oil leaves the sides. Add sauteed prawns into the masala and mix well. Cook 5 min. Add one cup water and stir well. Add coriander leaves and cook few mins. Until oil appears at the sides.

Serve prawns masala with rice
