Chat is the all time favourite snack or street food of India enjoyed with friends and family during festival or any other occasions. I have shared today a healthy version of chat where I served my chat in baked cones . And they are really very yummy.
Steps
- 1
Make a dough by combining flour, oil, baking powder, carom seeds, chilli flakes, salt and 1/2 cup or little more water.
- 2
The dough shouldn't be very soft.
- 3
Keep aside the dough for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 4
Take some pieces of aluminium foil.
- 5
Make cones that will be used as moulds.
- 6
Now take small ball from the prepared dough and roll out the dough in a form of a big circle.
- 7
Using a pizza cutter or knife cut out thin strips.
- 8
Roll the strips to make round strips and join 2-3 strips to make a long strip.
- 9
Starting from the top start wrapping the cones.
- 10
If you run out of a strip before wrapping the whole cone- start using the other one.
- 11
Till the end wrap the cone and seal it at the bottom.
- 12
Once the dough is wrapped - press the dough firmly around the cones so that there is no gap.
- 13
All wrapped cones ready for baking.

Pre heat oven at 180 degree Centigrade for 10 minutes.
- 15
