I make up a batch of my tuna salad for work lunches. It'll last about a week. Quick, easy and somewhat healthy. Again, all the measurements in this recipe are estimated. I go by sight and taste. Tuna is brain food son!

Steps

10 mins
  1. 1

Open cans of tuna and drain the water. Use a fork to break up the tuna a little bit in the can. Empty them into the container of your choice. I usually mix it all right in the Tupperware I'll be using for storage.

  2. 2

I like to add all the seasonings first onto the dry tuna. Then add the "wet" ingredients. Mix everything well with your fork. Again, the measurements here are not exact. You don't want it too wet and you also don't want it too dry. You can always add more mayo/relish/mustard, you can't take it out. So start with the amounts I've listed, then add more as you're mixing if it's too dry. It's really about your preference.

  3. 3

After everything is mixed very well, let it sit in the fridge overnight. This is key. I do not recommend eating it right away. Everything needs time to meld together and its supposed to be eaten cold.

When you take it out in the morning to make sandwiches, mix it again. Voilà. My world famous Trailer Park Tuna Salad. Roll that around yer mouth a'while!

I've always loved to cook, it's probably my favorite hobby. I'm not a huge fan of recipes because half the fun of cooking is experimentation and trial and error. I suggest ya'll do like me and use a recipe as a guideline only! Add your own stuff, try your own methods.Just a bit of background on me. I taught myself to cook when I was a younger, poorer man. Using and experimenting with cheap ingredients and utilizing stuff I already had in the house. Had to streach those dollars ya know? Hence the Whitetrash moniker.I'm a single guy so most of what I share on here I've cooked for myself and myself alone. I like to make big batches of stuff and eat on it for a few days. I use simple methods and ingredients and try to maximize quality while spending as little money as possible. I will always be adding recipes as I cook them. Bon appetite!
