My 7 year old culinary students decided they wanted to grill hamburgers last night for their nightly lesson plan. So, I had them all BBQ my super easy Juicy Lucy's.

Anyway, they're just learning how to detail, photograph and post their own recipes for their portfolios at this point. I thought Cookpad was a great place for them to start. ;0) Thanks for your patience and support fellow Cookpad Chefs!

Ingredients

  1. 4 80/20Pre-fabed Hamburger Patties
  2. 6 SlicesVelveeta Cheese Slices [reserve 2]
  3. Slicesas needed Fresh Firm Tomatoes
  4. Leavesas needed Fresh Lettuce
  5. Slicesas needed Fresh Onion
  6. as needed Granulated Garlic Powder
  7. as needed Granulated Onion Powder
  8. as needed Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  9. as needed Sea Salt

Cooking Instructions

15 mins
  1. 1

    Fold 2 slices of Velveeta per hamburger patty. Velveeta has a super low melting point.

    Place in the center of your patties.

  3. 3

    Seal your patties by pinching all edges together well.

  4. 4

    Liberally sprinkle patties on tops and bottoms with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.

    Throw on a hot clean grill.

  6. 6

    Grill for 3 minutes on each side.

    You'll know they're done when your cheese oozes out of your patties. Sides and tops.

    Lightly butter, season and grill your buns. Optional.

    Chop your chilled vegetables and gather 2 more Velveeta slices.

    Add Mustard.

    Construct your double burgers. Serve piping hot!
