Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 cupBesan/chickpea flour
  2. 1 1/2 cupMethi leaves
  3. 2 tbspsSooji
  4. 3 tbspsCurd
  5. 3green chillies finely chopped
  6. 1/2 inchginger finely chopped
  7. ForSpice powders :
  8. 1 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  9. 2 tspDhaniya jeera powder
  10. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  11. 1/4 tspAsafoetida
  12. 1/4 tspBaking soda
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. Fortempering :
  15. 1 tspOil
  16. 1 tspmustard seeds
  17. 1 tspsesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop methi leaves fine along with the tender stem

  2. 2

    In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients

  3. 3

    Now add the chopped methi,green chillies,ginger and curd

  4. 4

    Add little water and knead to a soft dough.

  5. 5

    Boil water in a steamer.Make cylindrical rolls and keep on the steamer plate.

  6. 6

    Steam for 10 minutes.Cool completely.cut into 1/2 inch peices

  7. 7

    Heat oil in a sauce pan. Add mustard seeds.let it splutter.Add the sesame seeds.Stir for few seconds.

  8. 8

    Add the muthiya pieces and toss well to coat. Serve hot
