Tofu and Cucumber Salad with Umeboshi-Sesame Dressing Tofu and Cucumber Salad with Umeboshi-Sesame Dressing
I made this when I was out of dressing. It was really good, so I've been relying on it ever since. This is also good with mizuna greens or green bell peppers instead of cucumber. If you leave it standing for too long the tofu will start to exude moisture, so I recommend making it just before you plan to eat it. Strawberry Spinach Salad with Soy Worcestershire Dressing Strawberry Spinach Salad with Soy Worcestershire Dressing
This is a kid favorite salad in our house as well as a crowd pleaser for picnics, BBQs, and potlucks for the tasty mashup of fruit, veg, and sweet savory tangy dressing.I'm making it for Thanksgiving this year to make sure my teenaged son gets plenty of veg with that side of bacon he asked for . ;)Here in California, we get strawberries pretty much year round, though they tend to be better in Spring. If it's not strawberry season where you live, a mildly tart apple or firm pear cut into small chunks are both great substitutes. x -

‘Nuta’ Spring Onion Salad With Miso Dressing ‘Nuta’ Spring Onion Salad With Miso Dressing
‘Nuta’ is a type of Japanese vinegared dish that is dressed with sweet miso sauce. Most commonly Japanese Green Onions are used, but I have no option here in Melbourne but to use Spring Onions. Seafood such as Octopus, Squid and Clams are popular addition to ‘Nuta’. Today I used Squid Tentacles, but my favourite is Octopus Tentacles, that is too hard to find where I leave. Hiroko Liston -

I made a healthy and simple salad using my favorite soybeans.Pour the dressing over the soybeans while they're still piping hot.I used about 150 g of cooked soybeans this time, but you can go up to about 200 g.Adjust the amount of honey to taste.
