Bengali gram clean with water and boiled.

Heat a wok with cooking oil and low the heat and then add asfoetida. Add ginger and tomato paste and cook on low heat. Add all spices and salt and saute till oil seperates from it.

Add boiled gram bengali and sugar. Add 2 cup of hot water, sugar and bring it to boil. Add raisins and chana dal is ready to be served.
