Ingredients

15 minutes
2-4 portions
  1. 250 grlong grain rice
  2. 3 pcsbirdeye chillies (you could skip it if you don't like spicy food)
  3. 2 pcsshallots
  4. 3 pcsgarlic
  5. 1/8 tspshrimp paste/ belacan/ "terasi"
  6. 1 tspcorriander seeds
  7. 1/4 tspsugar
  8. 1/4 tspsalt
  9. 1/4 tspwhite pepper
  10. 3 tbscooking oil (I use vegetable oil)
  11. 250 grbeef, diced and boil it first until tender
  12. 3 pcsbacon, diced and fry it first
  13. 1 1/2 tbswater
  14. 2 tbssweet soy sauce
  15. 1/2 cupfrozen vegetables (I use frozen winter vegetables)

  1. 1

    Crushed with mortal and prestel: Chilli, shallots, garlic

    Shrimp paste/belacan/"terasi", corriander seeds, sugar

    Salt, white pepper. Crushed until smooth

    Add cooking oil at the frying pan, and add the crushed spices, stir fry until fragrant

    Add water and mix

    Add sweet soy sauce and mix

    Add beef and mix

    Add bacon and mix

    Add frozen vegetables, and mix until the vegetable thawed

    Serve it with prawn cracker, cucumber, and sunnyside egg. If you like you could add sambal oelek too.
