Steps

Wash the fish, apply salt on it and keep aside for 10- 15 min.Dry roast coconut, grind together coriander leaves, green chillies, coconut.

Wash the fish again. Heat 1- 2 tsp oil in a pan and coat all over the pan.Put fish pieces on it and cook on both sides just few seconds.remove and keep aside.

In the same pan take 3-4 tsp oil,put ginger garlic paste and saute a little.Add grounded green paste and all the dry spices and cook for a minute.Then add fish pieces to it,mix with the masala.(Handle the fish delicately).

Now add little water,salt to taste, tamarind juice and cook the fish till done.Fish doesn't take much time to cook.

Serve hot with rice or Ghavane or chapati.
