Simmer the lentils over low heat until they are soft and well blended, then mash them thoroughly.

Heat oil in a pot and add the finely chopped onion.

When the onion turns golden, add the mashed lentils and a little boiling water. Let it boil for 10 minutes.

Add the vermicelli noodles, salt, lemon juice, bouillon cube, and turmeric to the lentils. Cook over low heat for another 10 minutes.

Serve the soup hot, garnished with fried onions. Enjoy!
