Spanish-Style Meatballs in Sauce

Steps
- 1
Soak the slice of sandwich bread in milk. Once it's fully soaked, remove it.
- 2
In a bowl, combine the soaked bread, ground meat, chopped garlic, chopped parsley, grated cheese, and eggs. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and mix everything well until you have a uniform mixture.
- 3
Shape the mixture into small balls with your hands, then roll them in flour.
- 4
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and turn them frequently to brown all sides. The goal is to get them golden on the outside; they will finish cooking in the sauce. Make sure the oil isn't too hot so the flour doesn't burn. Remove the meatballs once all sides are browned.
- 5
In the same skillet, pour in the white wine. After about a minute, once the alcohol has evaporated, add the chicken or beef broth (preferably homemade). Stir well and cook over medium heat.
- 6
After a couple of minutes, when the sauce has thickened, return the meatballs to the skillet. Cook over medium heat until the meatballs are cooked through.
