Butter Chicken Pasta

An Indo-Italian fusion dish. The cooked pasta is tossed in a flavorful makhni sauce (butter masala sauce) and garnished with grated cheese.

An Indo-Italian fusion dish. The cooked pasta is tossed in a flavorful makhni sauce (butter masala sauce) and garnished with grated cheese.

To cook pasta.Boil water in a large pot enough to cook macaroni. Add salt and oil when water boils add macaroni and cook pasta. Drain and keep it aside.

Marinate chicken with the ingredients mentioned in the marinade.Heat a pan add oil and fry them.

To the same pan add 1 tbsp butter add chopped onion and saute.

Add 1/2 tsp each ginger-garlic paste.

Add chopped tomatoes and saute till it mash up well.

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder,coriander powder, cashew nuts and saute.

Add 1/2 tsp of cumin powder,garam masala and kasuri methi. Combine well and switch off the flame. Let it cool.

Grind the masala to fine paste without adding water.

Heat a pan add 1 tbsp oil and butter. Add rest of the ginger-garlic paste and saute. When it starts to brown add grinded masala and saute.

Add 1 cup of hot water and boil.

Add fresh cream, rest of kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well. Check for salt.

Add the fried chicken, mix it well.Switch off when the sauce starts to thicken. Add chopped coriander leaves into it.

Take a large pot, add the cooked pasta and pour the sauce over it.Mix well.

In a serving dish add the pasta in sauce top it with grated cheese, pinch of garam masala and kasuri methi. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

Preheat the oven at 180C. Bake it in the oven till the cheese melts.. Yummy flavorful butter chicken pasta is ready to serve.
