Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsMixed Millet flour
  2. 1/2 cupWhole urad dal
  3. 1/2 teaspoonFenugreek seeds
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. Oil to grease idly plates

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash urad dal, fenugreek seeds together and soak in water for two hours.

  2. 2

    Then drain the excess water and grind well until soft and fluffy. Add the Millet flour, salt and give a good mix.

    Allow it to ferment for eight hours.

  4. 4

    Grease idly plates with oil. Mix the batter well and pour into the greased idly moulds.

    Steam cook for about ten minutes.Serve with chutney or sambar.
