Homemade lasagna

A beautiful beef classic.
Lasagna. A classic in any home. One of my favorites to cook and something I constantly get compliments on. There’s nothing more satisfying than cooking this dish knowing it’s going to feed a family, its truly a great creation! Any meat can be used but i prefer beef, it seems to blend perfectly with all the flavours and layers!

I can remember the first time I ever made a lasagna, I actually believed I’d made it from scratch – I’d bought one of those one make your own lasagna kits – basically a ready-made meat sauce, cheese sauce and the pasta sheets, where you just buy the beef. I’d put it together and really thought that because it wasn’t a full premade boxed lasagna, that it meant id made it from scratch LOL I had a huge sense of pride about it. Looking back i was so naive! But, if you’ve never made a lasagna from scratch – your own sauces and things, then trying out one of those ‘lasagna kits’ it’s a good first step to learning! Before using one of those i had no idea how to create a lasagna, or its beautiful layers.

Now I’ve moved on from the boxed lasagna and I couldn’t be happier about it. Its one the dishes that fill me with pride when it’s all done and ready to eat – My terry loves it, he doesn’t seem to mind how many times I’ve made it, it just never gets old! He always compliments on its flavouring, and it always fills everyone bellies. It does take a little bit of time to make but that’s not a bad thing to me, I find with lasagna that the time they take to make is definitely outweighed by its amazing taste! Gorgeous layers of a rich meat sauce, creamy cheese sauce, pasta, herbs and beef, definitely worth the effort!

Anyway, here’s the recipe, it’s a classic and brilliant dinner idea for any home!

Did you cook the Lasagna sheets first or did you do it without cooking them?
