Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupbutter
  2. 3/4 cupcaster sugar
  3. Red gel
  4. 3eggs
  5. 1 tspvanilla essence
  6. 1 cupbutter milk
  7. 2 cupsflour

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 180°.grease the tin and line with parchment paper

    Cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy

    Add the eggs one by one and beat until each is completely mixed.add vanilla and keep whisking

  4. 4

    Add the red gel and whisk

  5. 5

    Add buttermilk and flour alternating in three sections.dont overmix.put the mixture in the tin and pat it

    Bake at 160 for 40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean
