Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 500 gramsbeef sirloin (sukiyaki cut)
  2. 5-8 clovesgarlic minced (add more if desired)
  3. 2 tbspcorn oil or cooking oil
  4. 4 tbspunsalted butter
  5. 4 tbspsoy sauce (kikoman preferred)
  6. 2 tbspmirin
  7. 1 tspground pepper
  8. 1 tspsea salt
  9. 2 tbspsesame oil (optional)

  1. 1

    In a large bowl add the beef, salt and pepper. Marinate for 10 minutes

  2. 2

    In a hot cooking pan, add the oil and butter. Once melted add the beef, cook for 10 minutes or until brown.

  3. 3

    Add the minced garlic, soy sauce and mirin. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drizzle with sesame oil (optional) and serve on a steaming rice while hot.
