Spicy Tomato Soup (Tomato Rasam) Spicy Tomato Soup (Tomato Rasam)
This is a spicy & sour curry. You can eat it with rice or drink it like a soup. If you like the taste of curry leaves, add it at the beginning before the tomatoes. You can filter the "Rasam" & drink or you can drink it as it is. Add a lot of "Rasam" to the rice, eat the rice & then drink the "Rasam".That's a style I know. Pen Friend -

We pick a lot of alpine leeks every year, so I've been creating new recipes that the children can eat.The unique taste of the alpine leek disappears, so it should be easier for children to eat. When you sauté it, check the tenderness of the stems, not the leaves. Recipe by Chamicyami cookpad.japan -
Smoky Tomato Soup Smoky Tomato Soup
This was a modification of http://www.allthecooks.com/homemade-tomato-soup.htmlI made this on a whim to accompany some grilled cheese sandwiches my partner was making, using stuff we had at home. As I hadn't planned on making it, I had to make some substitutions. Notably, instead of milk I used a can of coconut milk. The tomatoes are two cans that we happened to have.By substituting the butter with margarine, this soup is easily vegan, so I've placed it in the vegan category as well.At our house, we keep a super smoky salt next to our regular cooking salt. In particular, we use a very strong black smoked salt (the brand we use is called Bonfire). If you're unfamiliar with MSG, it's a wonderful way to add a rich umami taste to things. Use it like you'd use salt: seasoning to taste. Unfortunately MSG gets a bad rap due to historical reasons, but there is no real science behind people's aversion to it. xxv -
