Home made ginger and garlic paste

Steps

Wash the ginger and peel the skin (optional).Peel the garlic and wash pat dry with a kitchen towel.

In a blender blend the ginger and garlic with out adding water to a semi-fine paste scraping the sides in between.

Add the turmeric,salt and little oil pulse till you get a fine paste.Add more oil if needed to get a smooth paste.Store in an air tight container in the fridge or freezer.can last up to 2months.

The turmeric,salt and oil act as natural preservatives which make it last longer.when the oil settles at the top just mix it in with a dry spoon before using.
