Ingredients

  • 4 lbschicken legs
  • 2 canssmall biscuts
  • 5 cupsWater
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 stickbutter
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 1/2 cupflour
  • 1 bagbaby carrots
  • 1medium onion diced

Steps

  1. 1

    Fill pot with water add chicken and diced onions boil to get the broth

  2. 2

    Pull the chicken off the bone and add back to pot add carrots

  3. 3

    Melt butter in skillet mix in flourthen add milk salt and pepper once evenly mixed att to pot with chicken

  4. 4

    Bring to a rapid boil then start tearing up biscuts in to peices and throw them in to the pot let boil till biscuts are done(not gummy or raw) about 20 minutes. Then serve

my grandmother taught me how to cook like they did back during the great depression so that mixed with me needing quick meals that can be diabetic friendly so i mix the 2 and come up with some yummy stuff.

When chicken broth is done do I just add 5 cups back in to cooking???
