Aamras kheer (with cane sugar and brown rice)

A dessert by accident 😄😄 I kept the milk to boil when having breakfast and happily forgot about it. When I checked in the kitchen, it had boiled down to half it's quantity and thickened! So thought of making the most of the situation and made this yummy dessert.
Am quite happy and proud of myself for this dish and the picture I clicked. 😄

Brown Rice Amazake from Germinated Brown Rice (with Miyako-Koji) Brown Rice Amazake from Germinated Brown Rice (with Miyako-Koji)
One of my friends on mixi taught me how to make brown rice amazake, so I decided to make brown rice amazake with miyako-koji.Basically it ended up being easier than I thought because all I had to do was mix the koji into the porridge. The enzymes will break down at 70℃ or higher, so if you want to preserve them, be sure not to bring it back up to a boil.In Step 1, I referred to miru-san'sfor how to germinate the rice.In Step 4, the real way to make it is to put it in a hot water bath, cover with a cloth and keep warm and uncovered for about 10 hours at 55°C-60°C. However that is a pain in the neck to do, so I just used some disposable chopsticks to make a gap, and left it like that. Recipe by Mikikimiki cookpad.japan -
Strawberry & Brown Rice Amazake Jelly Strawberry & Brown Rice Amazake Jelly
I tried mixing brown rice amazake with strawberries to make a baby food. When preparing this as a baby food, don't add the agar, but follow all of the other steps. If you heat up the strawberries too much, the colour will go bad. Turn off the heat when they start to smell sweet. Recipe by Piyonofu cookpad.japan -
egan Chia Seeds & Brown Rice Amazake egan Chia Seeds & Brown Rice Amazake
I wanted to make sure I was eating more brown rice amazake, so I mixed it with the chia seeds that I have been buying at the grocery store and bingo! I don't get tired of this. You can also add pecans to make this even more healthy! If you make this the night before, then it's a lot easier because you don't have to wait on the chia seeds to absorbs the moisture. This doesn't use any eggs or sugar so you can also use it to make many types of sweets! I'm going to make another recipe! For 2 servings. Recipe by hanakemper cookpad.japan -
