A dessert by accident 😄😄 I kept the milk to boil when having breakfast and happily forgot about it. When I checked in the kitchen, it had boiled down to half it's quantity and thickened! So thought of making the most of the situation and made this yummy dessert.
Am quite happy and proud of myself for this dish and the picture I clicked. 😄

  5. 1/4 cupbrown basmati rice soaked for 1 hour and then cooked
  6. Aamras
  7. 2ripe mangoes
  8. 1-2 tbspwater
  9. Dry fruits of choice to garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Bring half a litre fat milk to a boil. Reduce it to half it's quantity.

  2. 2

Add the cane sugar and cardamom powder and mix well

  3. 3

Add the boiled rice and bring everything to a boil till it thickens well.

  4. 4

    Cool and refrigerate.

  5. 5

    Aamras:

  6. 6

Peel two pulpy mangoes. Soak the skin in some water for 10 minutes.

  7. 7

Squeeze the skin to extract the pull stuck to it

  8. 8

Chop the pulp and add everything to a mixer and pulse it well till it combines

  9. 9

If the mangos are not sweet enough, extra sugar can be added to it.

  10. 10

    Refrigerate for half hour.

  11. 11

To assemble, in a shot glass add the thick kheer, layer with some crushed dry fruits, spoon the aamras and top it with more crushed dry fruits.

  12. 12

    Serve it chilled ❤️
