Ingredients

  • FOR RAGDA:
  • 1 cup white peas / vatana soaked overnight
  • 3 cupwater
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 tsp eachturmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder
  • FOR PATTIES:
  • 1/2 kg potato, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cuppuffed rice grounded ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  • to taste salt
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • as neededoil for frying patties
  • For garnishing
  • as needed green chutney
  • as neededtamarind chutney onion, tomato finely chopped
  • 1 cupsev
  • as required coriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Pressure cook soaked white peas along with water turmeric, chilli powder and salt for 4-5 whistles.
    once the pressure releases, mash the peas. keep aside.

  2. 2

    Mash boiled potatoes,
    add puffed rice, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin powder and salt.
    combine well and prepare patties
    Deep fry to golden brown and crisp.

  3. 3

    In a plate arrange patties, pour ragda and top with green chutney,tamarind chutney, onions, tomato, sev and coriander leaves.
