Ingredients

For 2/3 persons
  1. This is a two step recipe
  2. Tart Shells
  3. 2 cupsFlour
  4. 100 gmButter (salted /unsalted)
  5. 2/3 cupSugar (powdered)
  6. 1Egg
  7. 1 pinchSalt (don't add if the butter salted)
  8. 1 tspVanilla essence
  9. For Tart Filling
  10. 2Eggs
  11. 70 gmsPowdered sugar
  12. 1 - 1/4 cupHot water
  13. 125 mlFresh milk
  14. 1/4 tspVanilla essence
  15. 1 pinchSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Beat the butter with an electric blender till creamy

  2. 2

    Add sugar to it and beat again

  3. 3

    Add egg and beat

  4. 4

    Add vanilla essence and salt

  5. 5

    Sieve the flour and add to the butter and beat

  6. 6

    Mix it well with hands and make a dough

  7. 7

    Make small balls out of it

  8. 8

    Push each ball in a metallic muffin cup, give it's shape with fingers, cut the excess if anything comes out above

  9. 9

    Prick the base with a fork

  10. 10

    For the filling dissolve sugar in the hot water and cool down

  11. 11

    Beat egg milk vanilla essence salt with a hand whisk

  12. 12

    Add sugar solution to it

  13. 13

    Sieve it through a mash

  14. 14

    Pour it in the unbaked tart shells and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 16-20 mins

  15. 15

    I have decorated them with cherries chocolate chips and almonds
