Ingredients

  1. Ingredients for pakoras:
  2. 2 cupsBesan (gram flour)
  3. 1 tbspSalt
  4. Yogurt 1 1/2 cup Green chillies 2-3 Garlic cloves 4-5
  5. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  6. 1 tbspGreen chilles chopped
  7. 1/4 tspBaking soda
  8. 1 tbspCrushed coriander seeds
  9. 2 tbspFresh coriander chopped
  10. Mint leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  11. 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  12. Oil for frying
  13. Water to make a thick paste
  14. Ingredients for curry
  15. 3/4 cupBesan
  16. 1 1/2 cupYogurt
  17. 2-3Green chillies
  18. Garlic cloves 4-5
  19. Turmeric powder 1 tsp Oil 3 tbsp
  20. 1 tbspSalt
  21. 4-5Red button chillies whole
  22. 1 tspZeera
  23. 6-7Curry Pata
  24. 2 CupsWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Method for pakoras: Mix all the above ingredients except oil.
    Heat oil in a deep pan,drop pakora batter in it with a spoon,making medium sized pakoras.
    Turn once,fry untill golden n crisp.
    Drain and keep aside.

    Method for curry:
    In a blender put besan,yogurt, green chillies, garlic cloves,Turmeric powder, salt,water 1 cup and blend untill everything is blended well.
    In a deep pot heat oil,add zeera,curry leaves & button red chillies and when they start to crack put the concoction from the blender gradually, stirring constantly. Cook on medium flame.when the mixture starts to thicken add 1 cup water.stir cook some more,on low flame,add lemon juice.turn off heat after 5 minutes.

    Now taste and adjust the salt n chilli according to ur taste.
    Add the pakoras just before serving otherwise the pakoras will absorb all the curry and break eventually.
    Serve with Zeera Kay bighar walay rice.
