Ingredients

  1. 1 cupRice
  2. 2 cupsGreen Gram Split (Green Moong Dal)
  3. 2 tspGram flour
  4. 2 tspSemolina
  5. 3-4Green Chilles
  6. 3Garlic pods
  7. 1 tspcumin seeds
  8. 1 cupchopped Coriander
  9. as per tasteSalt
  10. 1/2 cupwater
  11. 1/2 tea spoonBaking soda
  12. 1 tspoil
  13. 1 tspwhite sesame seeds
  14. 1/2 tspred chilli powder

Cooking Instructions

    Soaked Dal and Rice for 4-5 hrs. Take a grinding jar add Dal- rice, green chillies, garlic pod to it and grind it coarsely.

    Take it out the mixture in a bowl. Keep a side for 15 min. Now add semolina and gram flour for a bind and mix it properly. Keep aside for 1/2 hr.

    After 1/2 hr. Add water, salt and coriander to the mix.

    Mix it well. Now add baking soda and whisk it properly. The batter will become Pluffy and frothy. Now put a non stick pan on slow flame. Add oil.

    Once the oil get hot add sesame seeds. Oñce it crackled add red chilli powder.

    Before the Chilli powder get burn add half of the batter to it. Spread it and close the lid. It take 5 min to get it done from one side

  7. 7

    After 5 min open the lid. The handva is done from one side and also it get pluffed. Flap the handva on pan so the other side also be done properly. Close the lid again for 5 more min.

    Serve hot with Ketchup.
