Cooking Instructions
- 1
I found the Lebanese seven spices in a local supermarket in Bristol called Dunya but I think they sell them in Asda. Those spices are a must have! They go perfectly with minced beef and all types of meat
- 2
Boil the chicken as per the attached recipes or / In a pan, add some oil and fry the chicken until cooked, then cut it into small pieces
- 3
Start with frying the onion in a little bit of olive oil
- 4
When the onion is almost cooked add the minced beef and put the heat up
- 5
Add the spices to the meat and mix well until the meat is cooked
- 6
Add the rice and mix it with the meat then add the raisin to the mixture
- 7
Add 6 cups of chicken broth to the rice, let it boil on high heat. When you see bubbles on top, lower the heat, cover and let it cook for almost 20min
- 8
Add chicken pieces to the cooked rice and mix a little bit. Keep some of the chicken for the top
- 9
Fry any nuts you like then add it with the chicken on top of the rice and bonne appetite!

Kibbe -- Lebanese Hamburger Steaks Kibbe -- Lebanese Hamburger Steaks
This is a recipe that my American-born Lebanese mother-in-law taught me. My husband loves it! You can easily make this at home.If you don't have a food processor, finely chop the onions. I adjust the spices to my husband's preference, but to be safe, start with a small amount and then adjust in Step 4. For a gluten-free version, use quinoa or millet instead of cracked wheat.
