Galia Melon with Sangria
This Galia melon recipe with sweet wine is a classic at home, but this time I chose to replace the sweet wine with sangria, and it turned out delicious.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
This recipe is a spectacular and very easy dessert to make.
- 2
Cut a slice from the stem end of each melon, just thin enough to remove the skin.
- 3
Use an apple corer to make a hole in the slice you cut to use it later as a lid and insert two straws like the ones we use for juices and sodas.
- 4
Use a melon baller to scoop out the flesh of both melons, discarding the seeds (I saved a few seeds to plant), and place the melon balls in a container suitable for blending. Blend them.
- 5
Divide this liquid between the two melons and finish filling them with sangria.
- 6
Chill in the refrigerator and serve very cold with two straws per melon.
- 7
Note: Taste before placing in the refrigerator. If it's not sweet enough, you can add a few tablespoons of sugar or honey. Remember that it tastes less sweet when cold.

Sangria Sangria
According to the Dictionary of the Spanish Language (22nd edition, 2001), sangria is defined as: A refreshing drink made with water and wine, sugar, lemon, or other additions.Sangria is a summer classic in Spain and Portugal, and it's also popular around the world. A well-chilled sangria is especially appealing to many people. You just need to let the fruit soak for at least 4 hours. If you need to prepare the sangria further in advance, it's best to keep it in the refrigerator so the fruit doesn't start to ferment. In fact, it's even tastier if made a day ahead. It's very important to use a wine you would enjoy drinking on its own, such as a young or fruity red wine made from Garnacha or Tempranillo grapes. Some people also prefer sangria made with a slightly sweet wine. The fruit should be perfectly ripe. Add the ice just before serving, and keep the sangria chilled until then. Sangria Sangria
I saved some red wine that didn't taste good.My hubby and I are drinkers, and so we add brandy or rum to up the alcohol content. Add some if you'd like! Adjust the amount of honey to taste. The soaked fruits become rather bitter, so they're probably not good to eat. Recipe by Puriman. cookpad.japan -
