In a separate bowl, mix the egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter together and add it to the flour mixture

If your batter is too thick add more milk.

Coat a non-stick pan with oil. Use constant measurements to get evenly-sized flapjacks.

Cook until the first side is golden brown, or until the top surface forms bubbles. Flip and repeat on the other side.
