Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsrolled oats
  2. 1 tablespoonsbutter/ghee
  3. 3-4 cloveschopped garlic
  4. 1/4 teaspooncumin seeds
  5. 1medium onion, finely chopped
  6. 1-2green chilles, finely chopped
  7. 1/3 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. 1medium carrot, finely chopped
  9. 1medium tomato, finely chopped
  10. 3-4finely chopped beans
  11. 1 tablespoonchopped fresh coriander leaves
  12. 1 teaspoongaram masala or maggie masala
  13. 2 tablespoonfinely chopped capsicum
  14. 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add garlic & cumin seeds and let their colour change.

  2. 2

    Add curry leaves, green chilies and onion, mix well and saute till the onion is golden.

  3. 3

    Add turmeric powder & salt and mix well.

  4. 4

    Add 2 cups water and cook for four to five minutes.

  5. 5

    Add carrot, tomato, beans and mix well. reduce heat, cover and cook for two to three minutes.

  6. 6

    Add rolled oats & garam masala and cook for four to five minutes. Add finely chopped capsicum & black pepper and mix well.

  7. 7

    Serve hot, garnished with the coriander leaves.
