Steps

Cut all the vegetables like pumpkin onion carrot brinjal tomato etc. Soak some tamarind in water for 10 minutes.

Wash the dal then put in cooker with 2 glasses of water pumpkin salt turmeric powder. Let it cook in cooker for 20 minutes.

For tadka add oil then black mustard seeds followed by curry leaves red chili. Then add onion cook for 2 minutes then add tomato and garlic. Put 2 tbsp of shambhar masala cook well.

Add the cooked dal into wok. Add tamarind paste and bring it to boil. Serve with idli vada or dosa.
