Ingredients

  1. 2 cupscake flour
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1/4 cupunsweetened cocoa
  4. 6eggs
  5. 1/2 cupoil
  6. 3/4 cupwater
  7. 1 tspvanilla essence/extract
  8. 2 cupswhipping cream
  9. 1/4 cupicing sugar
  10. Strawberry syrup
  11. Strawberries
  12. Grated Dark Chocolate

Cooking Instructions

    Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. In a different bowl sift the cake flour and the cocoa.

    Whisk the egg yolks together with the oil, water and vanilla.

    Add 1/2 cup sugar and whisk. Add in the sifted flour. Check the consistency and set aside.

    Beat the egg whites using an electric whisk to incorporate the air until it is whitish. Gradually add in the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar.

    Gently fold in the egg white mixture into the batter using a spatula or mwiko.

    Pour mixture into a baking tin put into an already pre-heated oven at 200° for 30-35minutes.

    Once out of the oven set aside to cool and whip up the cream.
    Cut cake into 3layers and layer using the syrup, cream and cherries till the top.
