Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 4medium sized boiled potatoes
  2. 4 slicesplain bread
  3. 1/4 cupwater
  4. as requiredOil to deep fry
  5. as per tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Take boiled potatoes in a bowl and mash them properly. Add salt and mix again.

    Chop the corners of the bread and then dip the white part of the bread in water and then put it in the potatoes.

    Bread will help bind the potatoes together. Mix well and keep aside for 5 mins.

    While the mixture is aside, in a pan, heat oil to deep fry the tikkis.

    Apply little oil in your palm, and make tikkis with the potato and bread mixture.

    When the oil is hot, add your tikkis, one by one, and deep fry till golden and crisp.

    Serve hot with green chutney.

    Note: If you have the time, you can fill the tikkis with a mixture of soaked chana dal, salt and red chilli powder. Alternatively, you can even put a little cheese in the center for a yummy surprise!
