  1. Pakwan
  2. 500 gmmaida/All purpose flour
  3. 1/2 teaspooncarrom seeds(ajwain)
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. as neededOil for frying
  6. Dal
  7. 250 gmchana dal (1 hour soaked)
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tablespooncumin seeds
  11. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  12. 1 tspraw mango powder (amchur powder)

Cooking Instructions

    Pressure cook chana dal with turmeric powder,salt and enough water to cover it for 5 whistles

    Meanwhile take other bowl add maida,salt,4 tablespoon oil and carromseeds mix all ingredients very well and knead it to make soft dough

    Now flattened this dough and make whole in it with knife and deep fry in hot oil untill it's colour changes to golden brown on low flame.

    Now open the lid of pressure cooker mash dal, remove dal from cooker in bowl add raw mango powder,redchilli powder and tadka of cummin seed over dal.

    Dal pakwan is ready.Serve this with green coriander chutney and onion,it gives amazing taste
