This Thai dish is my favourite dish ever. I love this dish so much that I needed to have it almost every week from the young age. There’s the street stall next to my home in Thailand and I was the regular. I stood in front of the lady and watched her make it every single week. So believe me this recipe is awesome. Cook it step by step and you will get authentic delicious Thai Larb dish. I am eating Larb Moo with yummy sticky rice.

Just a tip from me: Don’t buy minced pork. Do mince pork loin yourself with food processor. #eatthaivisitthai

Ingredients

  1. 250 gMinced pork
  2. 2-3 Tbspcrushed toasted rice
  3. Halfred onion (finely chopped)
  4. 1Lime
  5. 1-2 Tbspfish sauce
  6. 1/4 Tspsugar or to your taste
  7. Crushed chilli flakes to your taste
  8. Coriander
  9. Mint
  10. 200 mlwater
  11. Dried chillies (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Making Crushed toasted rice by dry toast the rice then crush it in mortar & pestle.

  2. 2

    Prepare all ingredients

  3. 3

Optional: toast dry chillies in a little oil until they smell nice. Don’t burn them.

  4. 4

Add minced pork & water into the sauce pan and cook the pork until it’s just cooked. Or you can add minced pork into the boiling water. It won’t take long to cook and don’t cook it too long as the pork will be tough. When it’s cooked turn off the heat. Then drain the water out of the pan and leave only around 2 Tbsp of cooking water in the pan with the pork.

  5. 5

Add lime juice, fish sauce, pinch of salt, sugar and crushed toasted rice. Mix them.

  6. 6

Add red onion, chilli flakes, coriander, mint and toasted dry chillis in the pan. Mix them together.

  7. 7

Now it’s ready to be served.
