And this is an out-of-the-box recipe and is inspired by an aunty ji, the cook who stayed with us for four days, during the time of marriage, and all the guests in the house went gaga over dahi bhallas made by her. She asked us to use 2 portions of moong dal to 1 portion of urad dal. This way, the bhallas would come out super soft and delicious, she says. This recipe makes use of electric beater to beat the batter until smooth, thick, airy and fluffy.
