Cooking Instructions

1hour
  1. 1

    Some of our ingredients

  2. 2

Blend your tomatoes, Cayenne pepper, scotch bonnet, onions and ginger together. Place a clean pot on fire, ensure its dry, add a cup of vegetable oil and half cup palm oil. Below is a sample of my measuring cup.

  3. 3

Allow the oil to get hot. Slice an onion and pour into the oil. Pour in your blended tomato mix. Stir gradually after some minutes until it's fried, the oil will start coming up.

  4. 4

Add salt to taste, 3 cubes seasoning, washed fish, water and cover it to boil.

  5. 5

While that is boiling, blend a cup of melon and half cup of roasted groundnut. Check the mix on fire, ensure it has boiled for at least 7mins, then pour in your blended melon and groundnut. Stir and allow to boil for 5min.

  6. 6

Wash your spinach, slice and pour into the soup. Stir and put out fire. Our Waina soup is ready. Though you can still enjoy this soup with other swallow but this is my special way of preparing my Waina soup. Bon Appètit 😋
