Creamy, cheesy and delicious, white sauce pasta, has to be a go-to dish, given how easy it is to make.

While some prefer to have Alfredo pasta with spaghetti/linguine, I like to make it with penne, as the cylinders get filled with the cheesy sauce.

Ingredients

  1. 250 gramspenne pasta
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 1+1 tbsp olive oil
  4. 2 podsgarlic
  5. 1 tbspflour
  6. 1 cupmilk
  7. 2 tspchilli flakes
  8. 2 tspdried herbs
  9. 2 tspblack pepper
  10. 1/2 cupprocessed cheese
  11. Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan, bring water to a boil, add salt, 1 tsp oil and penne pasta. Let the pasta boil on high flame.

    In the meantime, put butter and 1 tsp olive oil in a pan.. Crush garlic and put it in the pan. Let it cook for 2-3 mins on low flame. Make sure to not burn or burn the garlic.

    Once the garlic gets cooked in butter and oil, put flour and mix. Stir and cook the flour for 2 mins.

    Add 1 cup milk to the flour and mix. Then add chilli flakes, dried herbs and black pepper and mix again.

    Put cheese in the mixture and cook for 5-8 mins.

    Strain the penne pasta and immediately add it to the cheese sauce. Mix well and cook for another 5 mins.

    Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.

    PS: You can skip flour and milk, and can replace it with heavy cream for the perfect consistency.
