This is a dish I ate at a Taiwanese restaurant in Toyosu, so I decided to give making it a shot.

I recommend using garlic that comes in a tube. Cook it more or less as you like! Recipe by Izumisan

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1 bunchOng choy (Chinese water spinach)
  2. 1 tbspSesame oil
  3. 1 cloveGarlic
  4. 1Salt
  5. 1Red chili peppers (with the seeds)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

First, go out and buy some water spinach. There wasn't any at the local supermarket, so I ordered some from a farm in Shizuoka through Rakuten.

  2. 2

Cut the water spinach. Cut the stems into about 3 cm lengths and the leaves into about 5 cm pieces (easy-to-eat sizes).

  3. 3

Heat the frying pan over high heat, add the sesame oil and finely chopped garlic, and the thinly sliced red chili peppers. Lightly stir-fry.

  4. 4

When the garlic has browned, add the stems. When they have cooked, add the leaves and stir-fry.

  5. 5

Once it comes out like this, it's ready. Season with some salt.
