This stir-fry is so delicious you'll want to pour the sauce over your rice! It's super easy to make. Thank you for 1000 reviews on 07/26/2017! The story of this recipe: I recreated the taste of a popular menu item from a Taiwanese restaurant where I used to work. Both the staff and regular customers would pour the soup over white rice and enjoy it to the last bite!

Ingredients

  1. 1 bag(as needed) water spinach
  2. Generous amount of cooking oil
  3. 1large clove garlic
  4. 1 teaspoonchicken bouillon powder
  5. 1 pinchsalt
  6. 3 tablespoonshot water
  7. 1little bit of pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the water spinach into pieces about 1 1/2 inches long. Mince the garlic. Mix the ingredients marked with ★ together.

  2. 2

In a frying pan (preferably a round-bottomed wok), add oil and garlic, then turn on the heat. Sauté slowly over very low heat until the garlic becomes fragrant.

  3. 3

Once the garlic is fragrant, turn the heat to high and quickly stir-fry the water spinach. Add the ★ mixture all at once, stir quickly, and it's done!

  4. 4

Both crunchy and soft textures are delicious. Enjoy it freshly made!

  5. 5

You can also use 2-3 heads of bok choy. Just stir-fry the white stem parts a little longer. Garlic powder or fish sauce makes a tasty variation!

  6. 6

Kale (curly type) is also delicious! Although it's tough and has a strong flavor when raw, just tear it into large pieces from the stem and stir-fry the same way.

  7. 7

Pea shoots with their unique aroma can also be used! If using one pack, be careful not to make it too salty.

  8. 8

You can also use a vegetable called 'kabure-na'. It looks tough but is actually soft with a rich flavor! Delicious!
