It is a non-cereal grown in stagnant waters of Wetlands, Ponds, Lakes and ditches. They are gluten free, Protien rich and high in Carbohydrates. An overall awesome one to munch on without any fears. Kids will definitely love them if given sauteed or stir fried with Ghee.

Cooking Instructions

Heat butter in a non-stick pan on a low heat. Add makhana and saute well turning them every now and then.

Add salt according to taste. Serve them hot. Enjoy!
