Ingredients

35 mins plus 10 prep
8-10 servings
  1. Sausages - pack of 6
  2. Ready made puff pastry (I used Jus-roll)
  3. Onion chutney (or marmalade)
  4. Egg
  5. Rosemary sprigs for garnish
  6. 1 tbspflour for worktop dusting

Cooking Instructions

35 mins plus 10 prep
  1. 1

Flour a worktop. Roll out the pre made pastry. Jus-roll rolls into a rectangle which I cut in half lengthways and joined in the middle. Thinly spread the onion chutney down the middle and place the sausages on top.

  2. 2

Join the pastry and cut off any excess pastry at the ends. Roll the sausage roll over so the join is at the bottom.

  3. 3

Transfer the sausage roll to a baking tray and connect to make the circle. I used a pizza tray here - but the chutney does ooze out so a solid tray may be best! Cut slits every 1inch or so, cutting the pastry and into the sausage a little bit.

  4. 4

Beat the egg with a fork in a bowl and use to glaze the wreath.

  5. 5

Bake in the oven on low (gas 4) for 35 mins. Remove and garnish with the rosemary.
