Ingredients

7 to 8 servings
  1. 2piece brain (I used beef)
  2. 2onion
  3. 2 tbspginger garlic paste
  4. 1/2 cupyogurt
  5. 1 tbspCrushed coriander
  6. 1 1/2 tbspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder (all spice)
  9. 4cloves
  10. 6black peppercorns
  11. 1/2 tspcumin
  12. 1/2 cupoil
  13. 4 tbspGreen coriander
  14. 1 tspkasuri methi (dry fenugreek)
  15. 5_6green chillies

Cooking Instructions

    First of all boil the brain in turmeric water for 2 mins. Then let it be in this water, then run tap water over it and remove all the veins with a sharp knife.

    Cut the brain into pieces and in a pan, heat oil and add onion slices and fry till light brown and then blend it with yogurt.

    In leftover oil add cloves, cumin, black pepper and ginger garlic paste and fry. Then add the onion paste to it and cook.

    When oil comes up, add 1/4 cup water, brain pieces, dry fenugreek and green chillies. Cover and cook for 5 mins on low flame.

    Now add all spice powder and green coriander and turn off the flame. Brain gravy is ready, serve with Chapati.
