Ingredients

  1. 500 gmsrice
  2. 3 cupswater
  3. Ginger&garlic
  4. 4medium sized onions
  5. 4large potatoes
  6. 500 gmsMeat(mutton)
  7. 2potatoes I
  8. I lemon
  9. leavesCoriander
  10. Cooking oil
  11. Salt
  12. Food colour
  13. I tablespoon of curry powder
  14. I cup of mala

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl,put your meat and then squeeze in lemon juice,add ginger-garlic paste,corriander leaves,grated tomatoes and your mala/plain yoghurt,then let it sit so that the ingredients mix well.

    Slice the onions and then deep fry until they turn golden brown then set aside

    Chop your pototoes and then in a bowl,mix it with a pinch of food colour.

    In the oil&pot you fried the onions,deep fry the pototoes not cooking too much and thrn set aside as well

    Now cook the meat in (1) above on low heat while stirring it after every few minutes for about 20 minutes or until its soft.

    Add in the deep fried potoes to the meat and then stirr

    Once the potoes and meat are ready,add in the deep fried onions,mix well and the set aside.

    Cook your rice.

    In a tin add in a pinch of the egg yellow food colour and then add a little amount of oil and water to dilute it.

    Pour the mixture irregularly on the rice leaving some parts

    Put back the rice on the stove and let it cook on a very low heat for two mins then set aside and mix the rice such that some parts are white some are coloured

    Serve and enjoy your biryani
