Ingredients

  1. 11/2 cuppotato slices cut into medium into circles
  2. 1 cupbesan / gramflour
  3. 2 teaspoonrice flour
  4. 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  6. 1/2 tspcarrom seeds /Ajwain
  7. 1 tbsp hot oil
  8. Pinchbaking soda
  9. as requiredSalt
  10. as requiredOil for deep frying
  11. as neededWater
  12. 3-4green chilli fried
  13. 2-3tabspoon red garlic chutney

Cooking Instructions

    Wash peeled and cut into medium size circles of potatoes sprinkle some salt and red chilli powder mix well keep aside / Put into water keep aside

    Make batter - Take a mixing bowl add gramflour salt red chilli powder turmeric powder asafetida rice flour carrom seeds mix all well together now adding water little by little and makes medium consistency batter.

    Heat up oil in pan add 1 tabspoon oil in batter and baking powder mix all well with whisker.

    Take 3-4 pieces into batter deep and drop carefully one by one into hot oil deep fry until golden and crisp.

    Remove on tissu paper sprinkle chhat masala and serve hot with fried green chillies and red garlic chutney.

    Enjoy with hot tea or coffee in monsoons.
